Lyons Patient Participation Group (LPPG)

What is the LPPG group?

The aim of the LPPG is to promote co-operation between the Practice and its patients to the benefit of both. The group will represent the patients at the Practice and working with the Practice on service development and provision. This group was set up for patients and run by patients. Doctors and other Practice staff member attend the meetings as well. Ultimately, helping patients to get the best out of their doctor and just as importantly the doctors to get the best out of their patients.

When did it start?

The Patient Participation Group was formed in 2010. The first meeting was held in September 2010. It currently consists of 11 members.

What is discussed at the meetings?

The group meet to discuss issues affecting your Practice and helping the practice to deliver the best service it can.

When and where are the meetings?

The group meet once a month in the Common Room at the Practice. The meetings are generally held between 12.30-14.00.

What have the LPPG done so far?

The PPG have set up a newsletter, which you may have received a copy off or picked one up in the surgery. We encourage you to read the newsletters as they give useful information about the Practice and the services we can offer.

The PPG have also had a ‘meet the patients’ morning. This took place in the surgery on 17th June 2011 and was deemed very successful. During the morning the PPG group handed out surveys for the patients to complete. You can find the results of the survey by clicking here:
